OpenCart is an online store management system. It is PHP-based, using a MySQL database and HTML components. With the help of Opencart you can start your e-commerce shop within and hour.
Opencart provides flexibility to add edit products in very friendly manner. In this article I am going to explain the process to add product option and associate option with product.
Set Size and Color Variant Option for Opencart Product
- Login to your opencart store using admin credential.
- Expand the Catalog dropdown from left sidebar menu.
- It will show the Option link in sidebar.
- Click on Option link to navigate to option page.
- Click on + button from top right corner of page.
- On next screen, Add Option Name as Size, type Radio from dropdown.
- From Option Values Section click on + button to add option value for Size Option like (6, 7, 8, XL, L etc.)
- After Input the values click on Save button from top right corner.
- To add the Color option repeat the above steps.
- Since we have created option for our product, now we need to associate them with our product.
- To associate the option with product, just click on product link from left sidebar under the Catalog Menu.
- Click on Edit button in front of product to edit the product and associate the option with it.
- After navigating to product detail page click on Option Tab from Top menu.
- On option page, in left side textbox start typing the option name we’ve created in previous step, it will automatically suggest the option.
- After entering the option, click on Save button located on top right corner of page.
- And we are done with the setting Size and Color Variant Option for Opencart Product.
