During the website creation process, we need to upload our files to hosting and to resolve the domain name on that hosting we have to point the DNS of domain on that hosting.
When our hosting and domains are from same provider we don’t face much issues in the process but if domain and hosting are from different provider, we need little effort to do so.
In this article I am going to explain the process to Point Godaddy Domain to Another Hosting Account step by step.
Point Godaddy Domain to Another Hosting Account
- Log In to your GoDaddy Panel.
- After Successful Login you will see dashboard similar to this image.
- Click on DNS button in front of domain which you want to host on other hosting, you will be redirected to screen similar to this image.
- Now click on Change button, in front of Nameservers, this will show screen similar to this image.
- Now login to your hosting provider and look for any link saying nameserver, similar to image below.
- Click on that link and it will show you hosting nameserver.
- Copy the both values show in above steps and paste them in two textboxes shown in Step 4.
- Now press the save button Shown in Step 4.
- And you are done with hosting process, Domain name propagation will take maximum 24 hours and after that your domain will be pointed on the other hosting.
